Elmac Technologies, the leading global manufacturer of Flame Arresters and Tank Protection Equipment is expanding its international team following a significant increase in business overseas. We are pleased to announce the appointment of André Henrique as our Regional Sales Manager for Latin America.
Having worked previously as Sales Agent for Elmac Technologies in Brazil, André’s new role involves overseeing sales across all 12 countries in the South American continent.
Here’s a quick Q&A session with the man himself:
- How long have you been involved with Elmac Technologies?
I have been a Sales and Service Agent for the Brazil region for over 3 years but as the incoming enquiries increased in volume and complexity, not just from Brazil but also from neighbouring countries, I’m now delighted to have been appointed as Regional Sales Manager for the whole South America working directly for Elmac Technologies. Busy but exciting times ahead!
- What is your background?
My degree is in Mechanical Engineering and since graduation, I have worked exclusively – for over 10 years – in the Explosion and Tank Protection sector. I have had various roles in sales and consultancy involving engineering safety devices.
- What territories do you cover?
I’m responsible for the whole Latin America region, from Mexico and Cuba all the way to the bottom of Chile and Argentina. I tend out “on the road” (or better on the plane!) a lot, but I enjoy meeting existing and new customers and support their diverse Flame Arrester and Relief Valve requirements.
- What are your plans for the future?
In the past 3 years, we have received positive feedback from customers across a range of industry sectors for our innovative Flame Arresters and Tank Protection Equipment, hence the opportunity to further expand Elmac’s presence in Latin America. We will continue to support the existing and new customers with site surveys, technical consultancy and product sales, all based on regional and international safety/compliance standards. We utilise an expanding network of technical agents and maintenance experts all trained and certified by us to the highest standard.
- And finally, what is your typical day?
On a typical day, I like waking up early, have a breakfast and go for a run. I start my workday revising the tasks ahead and prioritising them depending on their urgency and importance. I check my Outlook and meeting agenda and organise tasks like site surveys, quotation follow-ups, customer meetings and project tracking with end-users and partners. Time management is really important to me, it ensures my workload doesn’t fall behind and keeps my sanity intact!
