RE-Flow™ technology combines Elmac’s E-Flow™ element technology with a reverse flow configuration (RE-Flow™). This is technology which is used in our ERB Series of End-of-Line Flame Arresters.
The simplicity of the design allows rapid and easy installation and maintenance of the Flame Arresters, with no compromise to the flow performance in service. The diagram below illustrates the innovative design of the ERB housing and element that allows the out-breathing of gases and vapours to vent to atmosphere. The element is self-draining which reduces the risk of fouling or clogging and makes maintenance a simple task.
The fully stainless steel construction of Elmac’s ERB Series of End-of-Line Flame Arresters reduces the risk of corrosion, and a wide range of adaptors facilitate connection to all common piping systems and venting applications.
If you’ve a head for figures, the unique design of the ERB Series of Flame Arresters incorporating RE-Flow™ technology is up to 5x lighter than standard arresters. Elmac’s ERB Flame Arrester of 80mm nominal bore with a female BSP connection weighs only 3.0kg which compares to the 15.2kg of a standard Flame Arrester with a flanged connector design.
Finally, due to the many benefits of RE-Flow™ technology, the ATEX accredited ERB Series of Flame Arresters is also highly versatile. It’s suitable for use with gases in explosion groups IIA1, IIA and IIB3, and is available in connection sizes of 10mm – 80mm nominal bore.
